Strategic Location

The Albany Ammonia Terminal is located in northwest Illinois on the Mississippi River. Situated near several major highways – including Interstates 74, 80, and 88 – it can effectively serve key local agricultural markets in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin for crops such as corn and wheat.

Shipping and Receiving

The Albany Ammonia Terminal receives ammonia via barge from the company’s Donaldsonville nitrogen complex on the Mississippi River and by rail from the company’s Medicine Hat nitrogen complex on the IC&E rail line. It ships ammonia to customers via truck.
