Strategic Location

The Velva Ammonia Terminal is located in north central North Dakota. Situated near several major highways – including Interstates 94 and 29 and Highways 52 and 2 – it can effectively serve key local agricultural markets in North Dakota, Montana, South Dakota, and Canada for crops such as corn, sunflowers, and wheat.

Shipping and Receiving

The Velva Ammonia Terminal receives ammonia by rail from the company’s Medicine Hat nitrogen complex on the CP rail line. It ships ammonia  to customers via truck.
