Community

CF Industries believes in supporting the communities where we live and work, employing a highly local giving strategy aligned with our business strategy. In line with this philosophy, the Peru Terminal works to be an active, positive member of the community by investing in local emergency response and educational organizations such as the Liberty Volunteer Fire Department, Spring Valley Fire Department, LaSalle County LEPC, and teacher-developed projects at Illinois Valley Community College, LaSalle and Peru Schools.

Environmental Health & Safety

Our top priority at CF Industries is the safety of those who work at or live near our locations. Safety at CF Industries starts with our Do It Right philosophy, which includes equipping our employees with the proper safety knowledge, tools and procedures, and a culture that encourages employees to act with safety in mind every time they come to work. In 2020, employees achieved new safety milestones and records, highlighted by the fewest injuries and lowest year-end rolling average recordable incident rate in the Company history.

As of January 1, 2021, Peru Terminal employees have worked more than 2,700 consecutive safe days, more than 7 years, without a lost-time accident.
