CF’s Yazoo City Nitrogen Complex was named a Corporate Sponsor of the Year by the Boys and Girls Clubs of America for its support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta. Additionally, the plant was named a member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America’s Jeremiah Milbank Society for donating more than $10,000 to their local club.

“We are honored to be named a Corporate Sponsor of the Year by the Boys and Girls Clubs of America,” said Claudio Nascimento, general manager of CF Industries’ Yazoo Nitrogen Complex. “Our partnership with the club means a great deal to all of us at CF, and we’re proud to support the great work that they do for our communities.”

The complex hosts numerous activities throughout the year for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta.

  • CF hosts an annual golf tournament with all money raised donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta. In 2017, this event raised $22,000.
  • Twice a year, CF conducts science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) workshops for children at the club with our engineering co-op students.
  • Each summer, CF invites the children who are attending the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta summer program to the plant. Activities include songs from the children as well as pizza and ice cream.
