CF Industries is committed to supporting local communities in which we live and work, through financial donations and volunteer time. We strive to be a good neighbor and believe it reflects the ongoing aspirations of our corporate culture. A strong community relations program provides opportunities for team members to bond and fosters engagement between the Company and our local communities.

Community Goals

Achieve 25% employee participation in our Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program by the end of 2025

Increase ongoing engagement and support of our local communities with an expanded corporate giving philosophy to include environmental sustainability, food access and security, STEM education, and first responders within our local communities

Giving Strategy

Our giving strategy is highly local and focused on four core pillars that align with the Company’s values and business: Environmental Sustainability, Healthy Food Access, STEM Education and Awareness, and Local Community Advancement.

Environmental Sustainability

Protecting and caring for the lands and natural resources that fuel our communities.

STEM Education and Awareness

Helping people of all backgrounds, genders, and races access education and career development resources in the areas that will support global sustainability efforts and our clean energy future.

Healthy Food Access

Improving access to nutritious, affordable food that members of our communities – including low-income communities and communities of color – need to grow and thrive.

Local Community Advancement

Product Stewardship

Our product stewardship efforts are focused on enhancing the value of our products to society while minimizing negative safety, health, and environmental impacts over the entire product lifecycle. Our products play an important role in preserving biodiversity on the farm, off-site, and globally.

CF Industries is working to boost the adoption and measurement of proper nutrient stewardship practices throughout the food value chain. We believe this effort will help ensure our business is sustainable and contribute to the protection of water resources, soil health, and biodiversity.

Case Study

Donaldsonville Early Education Program

Our flagship Donaldsonville Complex has called Ascension Parish, Louisiana home for nearly 60 years. Over the years, we have been dedicated to giving back and making meaningful, long-term impacts by supporting critical pillars of the Ascension Parish community, such as local education.

CF Industries has adopted five Donaldsonville public schools through the Ascension Parish Schools’ Partner-in-Education Program. This partnership has helped us make connections and provide employee mentors for students who are interested in STEM careers.

This past year, CF Industries also invested $1 million in the Ascension Parish Early Childhood Development Center to further demonstrate our commitment to local communities. CF Industries views our communities as extended family and we work hard to prioritize their wellbeing.

“Family takes care of family. At CF Industries, we understand that our neighbors rely on us to maintain safe and transparent operations. When folks learn what we do at CF Industries, they begin to understand how important our mission is.”
